Frankfurt airport: ALL FULL OF LOVE

An autumn day back in 2012. It must have been early October. Minor flight delay because of mist. I am sitting and waiting the gates for my flight to open. This airport knows for a EUR 7 expensive coffee you only finish in two gulps. For citizens of developed countries this world knows it’s too expensive. However, you drink, as you only once may pass through Frankfurt airport. This is one of the largest airports in Europe. It has zones from A to Z. You need 40 minutes to reach zone B through zone A. All is organized. All is crowd. More than 10 screens showing arrivals and departures. This city knows for too many planes in the heart of Europe.

I sit patiently and await my flight. Frankfurt to Skopje through Ljubljana. It is a common route. A man is late for his flight. He misses the flight and he is rather angry. It’s because of a mistake of the airplane company. He is angry and he yells. He tells them: “You are not perfect”. I found this remark rather stupid. What is perfect in this world? He worries too much for a missed flight. To where? At this moment all I care is this song that awakes me. I recall the video and it has the same colours as the floor… white… reflecting shadows… It’s Bjork’s “All is full of love”, early in the morning, after an expensive coffee and a cigarette smoked in a cabin for smokers.
